ABOUT HER

At 5-years-old, Jennifer’s family moved to South Arlington during one of the hottest summers on record. From that point forward, Jennifer attended private school through12th grade, and inspired by her education and her Mom, there was no question she would become a teacher, too. For 20 years, Jennifer worked primarily in Arlington in public, private, parochial, charter, and a school for learning differences, which provided her with a wealth of knowledge about kids and their needs. In 2018, she followed a calling and her heart, leaving education to pursue being home with her two kids (now 16 and 9) and founding Hagar’s Heart. Hagar’s Heart is a nonprofit for women in crisis, promoting the need for self-care and to rediscover how we are all seen, worthy and loved. Hagar’s Heart supports 8 domestic violence shelters across 4 counties — Tarrant, Dallas, Collin, and Kaufman — and continues to grow.

When she’s not traveling around the DFW metroplex, Jennifer enjoys time on a patio with Chadwick, Ubers weekly to kid activities, and is Aubrey and Camden’s biggest fan in the stands.
