
ABOUT HER
Donna is a former Fort Worth Star-Telegram reporter, Arlington Citizen-Journal editor and columnist. She has won more than 100 state and national writing awards, and was on the Pulitzer Prize-winning news staff of the Star-Telegram. She has twice been named “Most Outstanding Woman Journalist in Texas” by Texas Press Women.
Donna earned a B.A. in English from UTA where she was public affairs director for 23 years. She is also a former president of the UTA Alumni Association and past president of MPAC Arlington, Inc., an all-women political action committee that studies Arlington issues and advocates for or against.
She has been an announcer for the Arlington Independence Day Parade for more than 30 years.
Donna is also author of the book, “Arlington: Center Stage in the Metroplex.”
During the 2020 lockdown, she and her husband, O.K. Carter, decided it was time to add a new skill and they began producing historical videos about Arlington. They are posted on Carter’s Youtube channel.
